California Dance Instructor Casandra Hillman

Based in Windsor, California, Casandra Hillman is a highly motivated dance professional committed to keeping up to date with the latest dance forms and pedagogical practices. As a teacher, she strives to cultivate and maintain an inclusive, inspiring environment for her students. She has spent more than a decade as a dance coordinator in Southern California. Beyond her work with students, Casandra Hillman is an accomplished performer and choreographer.

A member of the American Federation of Teachers since 2011, Casandra Hillman has taught dance students at many different institutions, including the College of Alameda, Orinda Academy, Patty’s Studio of Dance and Ballet, Cabrillo College, and Motion Pacific Dance Studios, among others. She has also held roles such as program director, ballet director, and assistant director.

Casandra Hillman holds a master of fine arts in dance from Mills College. Her studies emphasized choreography and performance. She also completed dance programs at California State University, San Francisco, and Butte College. She holds multiple Giordano Technique certifications and has performed research in areas of creativity, transdisciplinary practices, and the neurological benefits of dance.
